Crichton

Another day of sunshine so after painting the skirtings and a lot of batch cooking it was time to get out.
Not been to Crichton for a few years and another blipper’s photo from yesterday decided the destination. Sadly a bit dilapidated but still impressive in it’s stance here since the 14th century. This is a view through the windows of the stable.
Walked down increasingly muddy paths and then over to Borthwick Castle, my old stamping ground, having got married in the Kirk nearly 22 years ago.and lived a few fields away for 21 years. Can’t believe I’ve never actually done this loop before. It was a long 7.5km and then onward to pick up the kids. The day was still so glorious that chips and ice cream were required, en route to drop off some deliveries in NB. The kids remarked this was their longest journey in three months... if not more. You do forget how it impacts their life.
Boris announced his big plans to unravel all the Covid restrictions so we all felt a bit buoyed by the news though Nicola’s version tomorrow may be slower, let’s not get the bunting out just yet!
