Tiny tradescantia flower

These flowers are tiny, 5-7 millimetres at their widest point. As usual with a very close macro, I can see things which I can't with the naked eye. There's the texture on the petals, the sparkling notches on the stamens, the intense purple of the mere filaments of stalks. I love the way macro reveals another world.

This is a photo stack and it's interesting that some of the flower parts, for example the stigma, are clearer in the reflection. We have a reflection because the wind outside defeated me so onto the tablet it went.

Thanks for hosting Pinkhairedlady. Stay well all.
