Coprolite Pond

Went for a walk to the wildlife park this morning lots of people and not much wildlife around so I took a picture of this Coprolite Pond.
A large part of the park was dug over for coprolite nodules during the first war they were in a seam about 6m deep and they dug it out in big trenches and backfill the open one when they dug the next so these are the last ones.
As I was walking back 2 old friends came along on electric bikes they stopped and we had a long chat as I hadn't seen them for over a year.
It turns out one is 85 the other 94 and had just decided that it was easier to get around on electric bikes.
This afternoon a girl from the village who has been given some chickens came up and took our old chicken run and shed. They have been sitting around for over a year so we hope they will do her a good turn.
Put lettuce & tomato seed in this afternoon, good to get the first seed of the season in
Zoom chat with the dancers this evening
