Every Witch Way But Loose

Actually, the only Witch Way is Pendle (or more precisely this X43 shuttle running to and from it to Manchester). Not sure the kindly folk of Pendle could ever compete with those brass neck TOWIE lot from Essex, but they do have previous as it were.

In the 16th century, Pendle was regarded by the authorities as an area "fabled for its theft, violence and sexual laxity", and the persecution of the Pendle Hill Witches of 1612 were among the most infamous witch trials of English history.

Not sure why I am telling you that, because all I meant to photograph today was this mega billboard covering the scaffold to the famous old Royal Orchid Thai restaurant on Charlotte Street in Manchester. I was quite impressed at the trouble taken to try to match the original building whilst some refurbishment works were ongoing. At the critical moment the X43 entered the shot.

My title is in homage to one of my favourite Clint Eastwood films Every Which Way But Loose. It's the one with the Orang-utan called Clyde. He probably just edges-out Clint in the acting stakes.
