On the Tiles

We had been debating whether to go to Wagga to see our local team downed in the NAB Cup, but apathy won out, and we chose to watch from the heated comfort of my sister's abode instead.

On arriving home it was time for the boys to put some of the lessons learned into practice.

Our previous cat was an AFL enthusiast, participating in the backyard kickarounds with great verve (and causing almost equal annoyance).

Shadow, in contrast, found the whole experience somewhat alarming and shot up the camelia tree and onto the roof.

Unlike our previous cat, she also found the roof perturbing, and clearly didn't know how to find her way back onto solid ground.

Imogen to the rescue! Shadow was coaxed around to the other side of the house where my husband could reach up and grab her from the roof, and Im could comfort her with the bowl of food that has become an integral part of her efforts to befriend (and manipulate) our standoffish feline companion.
