Playing ...

... hard to get.

It was sunny again today but there just were NO squirrels out and about.  I thought I was going to have to post something other than a squirrel today.

Like the red-tailed hawk that was circling above the house ... keeping the squirrels well hidden.  I did spot this one way up in the tree sunning him/herself ... sorry for all the little twigs in the way.  He/she did look up at the hawk but then went back to sleeping knowing that the hawk usually goes after the small birds first.  And we have plenty of those. 

This picture probably would have been better in color but I'm trying to participate as much as possible in Skeena's Mono Month Challenge for February.
