At the waterfall they have lots of padlocks which have been attached by many people.  They were originally on the fence round the waterfall, but have been moved to a fence beside it, probably because the weight of them would damage the fence at the waterfall, and this could become dangerous.  I don't know what the origin of this custom is; I first saw it in Verona in Italy attached to one of the old bridges.  Since then I have seen them in many countries in Europe.  The problem is that on the old bridges it can cause damage, and so is frowned upon.  It seems to be mostly sweethearts who attach them, but also people commemorating things.

The ducks were busy on the pond, but there was no sign of the swans.
And the weather is much nicer than yesterday!
