Village Green

Not done a lot today after having had an awful night’s sleep.
I’ve avoided garden centres in all the lockdowns, don’t really think they are essential but l needed some seed compost so decided to go to the new garden centre between my village and Ilkley.
The official opening is actually this coming Saturday but l did see on the village website that the doors are open for business.
It’s very pleasing but quite expensive as it’s aiming at the higher end of the market.
Had a good look round as it wasn’t busy at all but couldn’t find the compost.
A very nice young assistant tried to help me only to find they had sold out .
On enquiring they think it will be next week when they get some.
Wasn’t tempted by anything else but the cafe looks good, only doing take away today of course.
Decided to drive to another garden centre on the far side of Otley not a place l use often but  they had stacks of the stuff.
I prefer a  garden nursery for new plants and l do get somethings online because they are so much cheaper.
Stopped at the village green on my way back to look at the snowdrops and emerging crocus.
