Abated spate

You’d think I wanted to be as far away from rivers in spate and out of bank after last few days, but local meander along a calming Ardoch Burn was just the ticket as I signed off duty late avo with the worst being well over.

Newcastleton and other parts of Scottish Borders were badly hit, other areas some damage, but we thought it might be significantly worse,
