Jigsaw Update

Jigsaw Update
We started our current jigsaw on the 12th Feb and it is 299 Cats and a Dog and there is only 300 pieces. As I said last time this jigsaw is not easy. 12 days on and we now have the Dog in place. All be it with a little help from the picture to place a couple of 'joining bits'. Sue and I try not to use the picture at all but there have been a few times when the frustration of not finding a simple shape has meant that we did. We are obviously not true 'Dissectologist'.

Its interesting where the term 'Dissectologist comes from and no its nothing to do with dissecting animals etc. The original wooden jigsaw puzzles were called dissected maps  or dissected puzzles. The name evolved into picture puzzles and then into jigsaw puzzles which refers back to how the wooden puzzles were cut up by a Jig Saw or Fret Saw.
