Rob’s Snaps!

Carrington Street

An opportunity to get out after work but before J could get home. Warm and humid, partial cloud, so the light was OK at first. None of the shots I got looked good in colour, whereas a few worked well in mono due to the contrasty light conditions.

Carrington Street is a main road running East to West and parallel to our street one block over. There’s a real mix of buildings along it, residential and commercial, making it one of the more interesting streets in the city.

This detail is from a federation era private house. I know nothing about it, and apart from these roaring lions heads (two at each end of the house) there’s nothing more remarkable about it.

The whole point of this blip is my ongoing development as a photographer, striving to create art.
