Out with Mika...

...and Lasse and Annika and Janet, but they didn't make it into the picture. If you look at HarlingDarling's blip you'll see the same walk, the same dog, but more people. Mika, a short-haired collie, is a very elegant dog, seemingly placing each foot down carefully, even when she is running.
As you can see the sun shone today. You can't see the wind but even with a fair breeze it felt warm and a lot of thawing went on.
After the walk we dug out the "old" veranda at The Red House.  (See the extra.) It didn't need doing but it was so lovely outside we decided to play. The morning sun shines directly onto that space and it will soon be a lovely place to sit and have a cup of tea early in the day, when it's sunny.  Now it is prepared, both for us, and for visitors staying in The Red House.
As we were doing that a whole pile of snow slid from the roof of our house, crashing down in front of our door. We decided to clear that immediately because if it sets it's like concrete. I worked on that while Jan took more snow from our new deck.
Physical work in the fresh air is so brilliant when you choose to do it, and are basically doing it for fun!
