A grand day out

Fair weather all day, much of which was spent in the garden trying to push back the neglect of the past year. The border under the wall was choked with creeping buttercup; a bit of a beast to winkle out of the crannies. But I was rewarded with a view of nice clean soil all along the wall at the end of my labours which looks so much better.

I received a wonderful phone call from my oldest friend today to tell me that her girl is expecting a baby in August. I'm so pleased for them - can't wait to see everyone :-)
