Belle-de-Jour

Belle-de-Jour

Awake, darkness giving way to dawn.
Easy as you like
I fall into her arms.
Morning glory.
Later I run down Mill Lane,
The bright red head of the sun
Rising so fast
That I might just miss her arrival.
I ease my gait,
Tell myself to let a natural rhythm
Guide my sprinting legs.
My breathing slows
And soon enough I’m here.
She’s waited for me, just,
And I catch her.
Click.
