How to upset your enemies

We have deserted the beach today in favour of a dander to Knockhall Castle. They knew how to upset any intruders in the old days; a cannon ball at knee level would have been most efficacious.

The castle wasn't painted yellow as it might seem. The stony walls have been partially colonised by a yellow lichen which goes by the name of Xanthoria parietina.
