Life through the lens...

Exploring somewhere new.

We have been to Cornwall so many times, and yet there are dozens of places we have not yet been to.
This is one. Porth Chapel beach. A real gem but off the beaten track.
We only discovered it as we walked along the coast path from Porthgwarra to the Minack Theatre.

The sign post said 1 and 1/4 miles, but the way we went was at least 2.
Wonderful views all along the coast. Although a dull day the sea was so turquoise green, and the sand golden.

When we reached the Minack we were ready for a cuppa! Had a very interesting walk round the theatre before setting off back. Minack Theatre see here

In the morning we went to buy our fish from Newlyn. This time Cornish dabs.
Then on to Lamorna Cove, where we had the most delicious crab and fish soup I have ever had. A tiny cafe, but such wonderful food. Very unexpected.

On the way to Porthgwarra we stopped to buy daffs. at the side of the road, and a lovely surprise, they were selling bunches of violets too! I have never bought these before. They are so tiny, and beautiful. The house is now full of Cornish flowers.

Another very full and enjoyable day!
