Emotional support hamster :-)

I love the story Blast sent me about 'Blue Pete' awarding a hamster a 'Blue Peter Badge' for helping a little boy with autism through lockdown.

There is something delightful about looking after a warm fluffy, unchallenging animal every day. Much better than having a furloughed boyfriend bouncing off the walls of your small London flat.

I have recurring nightmares about being trapped in a large house with lots of people I can't get away from. However much I miss physical contact with other people, a lack of privacy is so much, much worse. 

When I wake up it's always a relief to know I am in my own flat, with my own little hamster pal and a good security system :-D
