Sociable Distance

We woke to a mist that burned off quicker than we could climb our little local hill, but the lonely larch made a fabulous place for a coffee and incredibly posh birthday biscuits (still not as good as dark chocolate digestives...)

We sat a long whiles with the warm sun on our backs, happy to throw a ball for Missy, something she seems to want to do forever, and watched the clouds build.

Eventually we set off with no real aim in mind, but in the middle of nowhere recognised another crazy pooch, and then saw our good friends R&L who were out on a totally new to them walk that intersected ours. Serendipity.

I'd intended to do some writing and to promote some courses this afternoon, but the glorious continued and it was too nice not to potter around the garden. As ever four hours of labour seemed to result in little obvious difference, but a big big bonfire was had and a lot of pruning incinerated for the compost heap.
