Monstera deliciosa

This leaf was a scroll this morning. I've been pondering all day on and off how I might use it for the challenge so this afternoon I cut it off. Once inside it began to unfurl which is a good thing because it revealed its shiny surface and shades of green - or grey as it turns out. I was amazed at how much natural light it picked up and threw back.

Some trivia - this plant is also known as Swiss cheese plant and Mexican bread fruit. It's in the same family (Araceae) as peace lilies and arum lilies. It has a spectacular flower but I've never eaten the fruit.

Interesting challenge. Thanks for hosting Isbi. Stay well all.
