The Mute Swans are resident all over the UK, nesting beside rivers, lochs and lakes, and in wintertime also on estuaries and sheltered coasts.  They are large birds, I think the largest we have, and very elegant when swimming.

Had a good long walk today and then went with the HG to B&Q, although I did not enter the store.  He is happy as he managed to get a new wheel for his wheelbarrow, which was badly needed, he say.

Another lovely day, +8C in the sunshine, and we did enjoy it to the full.
