hemmed in!

the boatyard owner is pretty confident that we are in no hurry to get our boat out, we are totally hemmed in on all sides! our wee wooden boat is rather out of place with all these fibreglass ones.

this is the only photo I took today, early rise and off to spend the day working on our old boat Isonda. we live just about as far from the sea as you can in Scotland, so it takes us an hour and a half to get there, and back again. I spent the day hacking off old fibreglass and plywood from the deck with a crowbar. I'm getting quite good with it! hard work but quite satisfying, you can see the progress. I don't like the ichiness when the fibreglass gets into your skin though.

home by 7, a quick shower and scrub and then off to wetherspoons for an easy meal and a glass of two of pinot grigio. hope to be able to catch up with journals tonight, but pretty shattered... and a wee bit tiddly!!
