Conservationists Fume At Alien Giant

Another fine day. A day for walking.

This morning I found a leaflet describing 8 different walks around St Andrews. Six are circular and Two are linear. A circular walk is where the start and finish of the route are the same and a linear is where the finish is at the opposite end of the walk.

Pat and I have decided that we will traverse all of the walks in the Spring and Summer months.

The majority of the walks are 4 miles long. Of course the linear are effectively double that as "the mobile bubble" must be retrieved from the start.

Today we did about half of Walk One which leads through the town centre. We spent so much time reading information boards and taking photos that we had to cut the route at the halfway mark and head back for the mobile bubble.

Today’s Blipfoto shows the Younger Graduation Hall. The neoclassical style is the cause of the fuming!

Of course, that all occurred in the 1920’s. The edifice has just been the subject of a major refit and restoration.

I have attended several Graduation Ceremonies in the Hall and they are rather splendid occasions.

Prior to this stage of the walk we had walked the 18th hole of the Old Course and crossed the famous Swilken Bridge.
