A Hint of Previous Grandeur

I was kindly excused from the excursion into the Cameron Toll shopping centre in Edinburgh this afternoon. Instead, I was able to roam the adjacent Inch Park looking for an interesting blip. I found it in the form of the intricately carved stonework of Inch House - a 17th century 'tower house' with an eventful history (including holding out against Cromwell's troops in 1650) which has now fallen on hard times and is fenced off, suggesting that its days may be numbered.
