Driftwood

If you live by the sea you're used to driftwood coming ashore, bleached white by time at sea. This is on the big side, though, well over 20ft long.

Yesterday I was chirruping about the warm weather. We'll pay for it, I said. We did. Today. Nasty, cold haar* all day long.

* Haar is sea fog.
