Break Fast

First proper meal in 2 weeks!

I was ambulanced into hospital on 2 February with extreme abdominal pain which turned out to be Acute Pancreatitis. I spent 2.5 weeks in hospital being fed through a tube with every kind of anti biotic, fluid and painkillers being iv-ed into me. It was one of the worst experiences of my life, maybe even the worst. 

The feeding tube came out today and I can eat meals. I am so glad to be breaking bread with the people on this ward. We have had some laughs. I used have to read or distract myself when they got their meals, but now I can join them. There is something about eating together with people you care about. It is a blessing.
