Small is beautiful.

Planted around the pear trees I was pruning a few weeks ago are various crocus which give little dabs if colour, they're still looking great.

The fog didn't burn off to lunchtime so it was much cooler than yesterday. I worked on the 'Midwinter Fire" dogwood beside the lake, it's been looking fresh and bright since being cut back hard last spring.

Also made a start on restoring one of the gravel paths which is completely choked with weeds and mint (never plant mint in open soil!!)
