I'd like you to meet Sadie. She's standing patiently in the Fairhaven Pharmacy, which has been in this location since 1890 -- though not always in this building. I don't know how long Sadie's been there. I'll blip her companion in service, Dobson, later.

The ownership history is painted on the rear exterior of the building. Four of the owners started out as delivery boys. The current owner, Robin Johansen, bought the business from Gordon Tweit, the previous owner, in 1991 -- 50 years after Tweit started work as a delivery boy.

There's a museum in the basement of the building -- open on Friday afternoons, or by appointment. It's been on my back pocket blip list for a long time.
