Roofer

The roofer has been here for 6 days now. He has removed and replaced the garage roof and has re-done this little bit of lean to roof between the house and the garage. It looks so light in the walkway now the horrid old roof has gone. I wish I'd taken a before photo. The roofer has also re-routed our guttering as it was flooding our neighbours garden previously when it rains heavily.

A second round of redundancies has been announced at John's work but he has been told he is definitely safe so that's reassuring. Not good for those that will go though.

My sister has been very stressed at work recently and my nephew has been feeling low too. Yesterday we decided to form a childcare bubble. Allow her to catch up on her work and the children to play together. I believe its allowed as neither of us is in another bubble and she needed the childcare to work it wasnt just for fun. So M&S came round for after school for dinner tonight, and what a treat that was. The cousins haven't played together since well before christmas and they had the best time. I love how close they are.

It's the final day of home schooling tomorrow, although not such a big change for us as Ivy has been in school part time throughout. School sent a lovely message with with instructions for tomorrows work, which is basically preparing to return to normal school, getting bags ready, some video clips showing them how to do deep breathing relaxation and instructions to enjoy a family day spending time wisely doing something nice together. Brought a tear to my eye. Its been such a hard couple of months but I have also loved my teo days a week doing schooling with Ivy. Lockdown is horrid, but there have been some lovely moments hidden inbetween.
