Female House Sparrow, after kindly pulling some moss from what's loosely termed, a lawn. Despite the very cold wind that was blowing, there were several Sparrows and a Greenfinch tugging at bits of vegetation. They're all building nests in this chill, whilst I've gained a load of chilblains on fingers and toes. Wee bit warmer come the weekend, they reckon.
