International Women's Day, 8 March

This flower Friday is the closest Friday to International Women's Day on 8 March. Following women gaining the right to vote in Soviet Russia in 1917, 8 March became a national holiday there. This date was adopted by the UN in 1975.

Following Australia's 2016 federal election, only 32 percent of members and senators were women.

My blip today is a pansy whose colours of green, white and purple are suffragette colours.

With February having only 28 days this year, the FF tag is the same as last month's so I've tagged it March also.

Thanks for hosting BikerBear. Stay well all.
