Basking...

........................in the Sunshine

This colourful wee fella was happy posing in the morning sunshine before departing.

This morning we woke to the news of earthquake activity 100km off the East Coast of NZ and later 1000km NE of NZ near the Kermedec Islands.
- A magnitude 7.1 quake struck at 2.27 am followed by a 7.4 at 6.40am and lastly, one registering 8.1 at 8.28 am. The latter two near the Kermadecs.
- The 8.1 quake triggered a tsunami warning for coastal parts of NZ. Many Northlanders and residents of the Bay of Plenty were required to evacuate to higher ground.
- For the top of the South Island, where I live, the warning was for strong and unusual currents and unpredictable surges near the shore - so keep away from the coast.

Covid-19 update
No new cases in the community so Auckland will drop to Alert Level 2 at 6am Sunday morning and the remainder of NZ will drop to Alert Level 1 at the same time.

Thank you for your response to yesterday’s blip. And thanks to a fellow blipper who dentifrice the buds for me.
