Earthstar

Spotted this diminutive fungi at the DogPark. It’s name is as cool as it’s looks. It’ a Hygroscopic Earthstar! ‘Hygroscopic’ refers to it’s ability to ‘readily take up and retain moisture’. So now you know! ;)
