Monkeys! Wearing little hats and waistcoats! 

Bought this fabulous fabric from someone on Instagram, and today is the day I start turning it into a wraparound dress, because the fact is, I need, yes NEED, a wraparound dress with monkeys on it in my wardrobe. 

I have adapted the pattern from one I had for a two piece outfit with a wrapover top, essentially I will be just joining top and skirt together with a belt section in the middle. I have taken a risk and not made a toile before cutting - it's stretchy fabric which is more forgiving for fitting anyway, and I've made the shoulders narrower than the original which is an adjustment I always seem to need on commercial patterns.
