At the zoo

These two pillars are all that is left of the entrance of what used to be Tilburg's zoo (article in English).
It makes sad reading, particularly the reactions of the animals to bombings during WWII, and their subsequent deaths.

On a lighter note, the chipmunks still run around the woods, and though they're hibernating at the moment, they certainly liven up the place (especially when you just happen to spot six babies running in and out of their hole in a tree, as I did several years ago!)
