Shenzhen: Lizhi Park Peking Opera Favourites

Our Sunday afternoon adventure was to Lizhi Park over in Futian, in central Shenzhen city. The incredible thing about Chinese public parks is what is going on in them.

Here we have the Peking Opera corner, where you can grab the mic and be accompanied by a little traditional opera band (erhu, sheng, wood-block). Just behind me was the gymnastics, including the retired gentlemen who are still incredibly flexible, and above the Peking Opera corner was ballroom dancing and badminton.

And yes, that's how one should wear a 'Mao suit' - the shoe laces set it off nicely!
