Princess at Paddington

At part of the Steam 150 Celebrations of the Ffestiniog Railway, the first steam locomotive built for the railway is currently on display at Paddington Station.

Here is Princess on display with two Heathrow Express trains.

Princess (No 1) was built in 1863 by George England, along with her stablemates Prince (No 2) which still in running order, Mountaineer (No 3) which was scrapped many years ago and Palmerston (No 4) which after a period as a stationery steam generator and then in store has been restored to service.

These three locomotives with the younger brother - Welsh Pony - will be on show at the main celebratory Gala at Porthmadog at the beginning of May 2013. Princess will also be on show elsewhere in the UK throughout the year.
