A touch of colour on a grey and overcast day.

A quiet day at Moot Manor (if you ignored the coughing and miaowing). I got stuck into my Hausaufgaben for a couple of hours and am quite pleased at what I've produced. It's not completely simple German - anything that uses the word "Ernährungsgewohnheiten"* is not going to be that simple - and most pleasingly, when I went through it with G just to check that there were no howling mistakes, she made a couple of little changes but nothing major. That's a big improvement for me.

I'm quite surprised at how much I enjoy learning this language. And in what I hope will be a welcome return, I'm going to start a new series of lyrics translated into German. First song will be on Tuesday (school night tomorrow and that's always a Long Day).

*It means "eating habits".
