Derelict

The other half and I disagree on whether this counts as derelict or not...he thinks it should only apply to buildings and structures; I think the definition could refer to anything, or anyone (!) past its best?

These tulips have now been replaced with bright new ones that arrived with the grocery shopping so this is their last hurrah before taking residence in the green bin.
