Amongst Friends

A walk with a difference this afternoon. Me, Mrs K and Millie pups had met up in our support bubble with son Matt and the three grandchildren. On route I bumped into a good friend from the band we play in and had a brief catch-up before going our separate ways. Twenty minutes later I received a phone call from a mutual friend who confirmed that the lady I'd met a short while ago had taken a fall. I ran back to find her on the ground, propped against a wall holding her left arm with abrasions to her face. A passer-by was already on the phone for an ambulance. Within minutes friends and neighbours were helping with coats, blankets and taking her dog to look after.

It was about forty minutes before the paramedics arrived - a surge in he number of fall-related incidents it transpired. They administered plenty of gas and air and helped her to her feet before setting off in the ambulance with a suspected dislocated shoulder. Hoping that it's nothing worse.

Judging by the help she received I have to say that there are some really kind and caring people around.
