Cute Little PITAS

I've created a cute little Monster! The Yellow-rumped warblers, ButterButts, are still here and have most definitely 'over stayed their welcome'! I fully expected them to leave, head north, migrate...whatever! But they apparently, have other plans. Each morning they descend like a hoard of locusts on our bird feeders. It was fun for a while, taking nice little photos of them and watching their antics, but now...they are eating us out of house and home! Our regulars at the feeders are overwhelmed. This is a shot of a female Downy Woodpecker doing her best to grab a few bites. The Red-bellied woodpeckers come by for quick bites and the Pileateds are heard but not seen. I will call our local 'bird experts' today to find out when we can expect to be a able to say goodbye to these PITAs. (That stands for 'Pains in the A**' if you were wondering!)
