Run out of flowers so had to do some flour. Shamefully, since blipping our horticultural success a few days ago both plants have now died. We’ve been demoted from the Janet club to the Catherine club. The white buds on the big plant just shrivelled and never opened, while the hyacinth started to die while it was still emerging. Only 4 of the Christmas 8 are still left standing. One of those is also looking decidedly peaky. Is there a club below the Catherine? ... Charlie?
