Japanese Laurel: Very Hardy

This verdant bright spot caught my eye in the park this morning, in an otherwise grey walk.
Busy morning, thinking about vaccines, employers, policies, data protection, have you had your jab? There will be many fallouts over this, and I fear a few employment tribunals.
Chap grinding stumps next door. Noisy. Tempted to ask if he can tip some of his output on my driveway for compost/ mulch.
