Good idea?

Last year we had these QR stickers stuck to our picnic benches. As with most thing left outside in rain and shine, they didn't last very long and started curling at the edges. To stop customers from picking at it and peeling it off, I came up with the great idea of stapling them to the benches. When I had to remove them today to make space for new POS, I wasn't so sure if it had been a great idea.
