Oskar turns 16!

Only got to see him on FaceTime, with his family party …he is a busy kid… but this was fun last night.  He had been waiting til his birthday to get measured in the doorjam…so we watched ….. 6 ft 4 inches!!  The SAME as his tall brother at the same age!   Happy kid!     His big brother took him to the mall to shop and he got a puff jacket and some  "drip"  pants (brand, “the billionaires’s club…. no Eddie Bauer for them).     Apparently there is “style”, fashion”,  and then the best: “drip”  ….OK….....? 
 He also got new basketball and football.

He’a been practicing football everyday with a pod of 5 …Now there are HS games, with masks. 
NO school yet of course and no people allowed in the stadium.    Unless his Dad does the line markers..    He’s a quarterback but he’s just a sophomore so he’s 3rd in line and doesn’t get to play much..all good as far as we’re concerned.    Maybe he can get thru the “season” without being tackled.

He says he’s not ready for a drivers license yet.   Sensible!

The extra is with the candles on the cake but I liked this “portrait” best…with the Nike shoes he personally designed online.  The black furniture you can just see is from my grandmother.


And yes, it was Fiona tuesday too…our turn to read a book..I chose Opal,  the diary of a young girl naturalist from the early 1900s in Oregon.    We’ve started to talk about something to DO in person…but this is hard to beat.
