Neighbours

When we moved into this house three years ago, I planted two camellias in the garden.

They have sulked ever since, gradually adding beautiful glossy green leaves, but never throwing out so much as a flower.

I read that this is true to form for camillias and that - probably - they will get over it and give me back the love eventually.

In the meantime, one of our neighbours has this wonderful specimen, full at this time of year with flowers from head to toe.
