The Day

Breagha off to the Vet for 830 for her procedure. She was Nil by mouth from 7pm last night and was looking for her breakfast. We took her out a walk first and then dropped her off. The procedure at the moment is you speak to the vet by mobile in your car and cover everything then they come to the door and take the dog (or whatever pet it is). I had to sign a form and then handed Breagha over to Harvey . I must admit I did have tears but he told me that they use a different anaesthetic for older dogs and actually there is no evidence that the older the dog the more risky it is.

They called me when was at mum about 12 and all went well Breagha was in the recovery and they would keep her till 3pm.

Was so pleased to see her and her tail was wagging when she saw me. She’s got painkiller and antibiotics for 5 days. She was sleepy when we got home but we settled her and then out again fornthe Food Bank delivery.

The gang came to see her later to make sure she was ok and she ate her tea well .

Must say the crew at vet centre looked after this precious dog in such a caring way. So happy she is home and not in pain any more with that nasty incisor out. She also got her nails clipped when out for the count.
