The woods normally seem fairly quiet and are not obviously managed, which is a big part of their charm.

When branches fall off they usually stay where they land, unless they block a path in which case the invisible forces of citizenry drag them aside.

So it was a little jarring to find someone had been busy with a chainsaw, although it did make for something different to observe and record on my very familar rounds.

Let sleeping logs lie.
