world in a grain of sand

By kateann

when it's Spring again...

it'll be a great deal warmer. I spent too long in the garden today and felt thoroughly chilled (not in the modern sense!) when I came in. Only a sweet potato and chard gratin could warm me. It was my least favourite kind of gardening - we had a large tree taken out, and I've been trying to clear matted roots and rotted down leaf mould, seiving out the good bits.
I got the tulips at the lovely Chadlington village store which I visited yesterday with Bob Winchester and my sister, Mrs Winchester.
