Mad Axe Men

THURSDAY

They didn't appear to have an axe, but the man at the top of the ladder was hacking away at small branches with a chainsaw in 50 mph winds and the ladder, although footed, didn't look to be that secure. 

I was up at the crack of dawn in order to put the wheelie bin out before 7:00 am. I usually put it out the night before but didn't want to risk it blowing across the lane in the strong winds.

An interesting day working from home, some good news from Harriet about her course and prospective placement, and a 5 km walk along a muddy Black Brook Valley at lunchtime.
