Rockin' Robin

Good to see the extra yoga lessons in lockdown have paid off for Rocky as he's now facing spring looking very chipper with his intended looking oh so impressed feeding close by! Everything in the garden is rosy so far and long may it stay that way. 

A huge surprise this morning looking out of the window; a barn owl was coursing our field. I stood transfixed, no camera in hand but really pleased to have seen one here. He ended up flying straight towards the house (that would have been a shot) over the top and into the field over the lane. I shot into the bathroom to get a view and could see it through the trees flying lazily up and down. I would think after last nights gales that he was hungry having not been able to feed. Needless to say we are now on owl watch on full alert! 

Nothing as yet in the new bird box with camera and I'm hoping we didn't leave it too late to put up.
